Lilly Bill
Artist Statement:
Lillian Bill is an artist who grew up in a small town at the edge of the Pine Barrens in New Jersey. Her knack for creating was noticed at a young age, and was fostered by taking art classes both in school and privately. Although she has primarily worked with acrylic, she also has dabbled with colored pencil, graphite, crocheting, and poetry. Since childhood, she has been most inspired by nature. As a kid, she spent the school year exploring her own stomping grounds, while during the summer, she blazed her own trails through northern Pennsylvania at her family’s camp. Today her connection to nature is still what fuels her fire. A day hardly goes by without putting her bare feet on the ground, and she hopes to remind those around her to do the same.

Ethan Carroll
Artist Statement:
Hi my name is Ethan Carroll, otherwise known as “Nahcroll.” I am a Philly artist who recently relocated to the Fishtown area! I first encountered my style in the midst of quarantine in 2020 when I decided to make a flash tattoo sheet for the hell of it. I came up with a figure that really resonated with me, this eventually became the red figure that I would name Nahcroll. From there on out I have continued to evolve my illustration style and experiment further with other mediums. My body of work consists of screenprints, linoleum block cut prints, risographs and digital prints. All of my work is hand inked by me and then scanned into photoshop where I color digitally. My scenes and characters are inspired by people going about their everyday live’s. I incorporate them into a surreal and fantastical environment full of life and color. I hope to inspire positivity and a genuine connection with anyone who views my artwork.

The Lovers. 2022, 6 Color Screenprint. 12″ x 18″.

Jazmyn Crosby
jazmyncrosby.com | @jazmynmay | @glittervomitabq | @graftgallery
Artist Statement:
Mesmerized by communication and the tools that make communications possible, I am particularly interested in moments where connections breakdown; when there is accidental auto correction, or a frozen picture of a loved one on a Zoom call. These are moments when time and distances, cognitive and physical, become exaggerated. Leading with an inquisitive playfulness I experiment with the transmission of voice and engage with the possibilities waiting to be gleaned from discarded objects, probing at what can be learned from things like an apple core, a crumpled up note, or a dead battery and what can be discovered within radio static, a hold line, or video feedback.
Jazmyn Crosby is an interdisciplinary artist and educator born and raised in New Mexicoshe is currently living in Philadelphia where she received her MFA from the Tyler School of Art and Architecture. She got her BFA from the University of New Mexico, and attended the Glasgow School of Art in Scotland and The Academy of Art Architecture and Design in the Czech Republic. She creates music under the name Glitter Vomit, and is a founding member of Graft Gallery/Collective.

Laura Gomez
Artist Statement:
In life, I’ve always been fascinated by how every place and every moment holds a different significance to it depending on a person’s experiences. No matter how trivial or mundane something may seem to one person, it can be key memory for another. A majority of my work stems trying to capture that sensation of beauty in the everyday and the warmth that it brings. I like exploring a wide range of mediums but have recently been focused on prints and collages. I enjoy the intentionality of carving out each line in a block print and how moving an image even the slightest bit can change the feeling that a collage transmits.

Sammy Henken
@screaming_toads | @sammy_jo_art
Artist Statement:
I am a Philly based artist who has been trying to find my voice for quite some time. Then all of the sudden, these little beings invaded my headspace and I have been creating them since. These special dudes speak for themselves. They are very whimsical, almost alien creatures made out of simple shapes and very bright vibrant colors to express themselves emotionally and physically. I have always been drawn to bright colorful pieces and enjoy making art that expels love and positivity. I feel like my creatures do just that! They are always looking for a nice warm hug or just someone to hang out with.

Rebecca Poarch
www.rebpoarch.com | @rebpoarch
Artist Statement:
Rebecca’s work is an attempt to understand the boundary dissolution between the human body and the space it inhabits on Earth through an intuitive response to her materials. Often working with found materials alongside traditional painting mediums, she grounds her work to the mundane, natural, and everyday. She believes that transforming these found materials can offer activations beyond the tangible. As a result, she is contemplating poetic connections and patterns at the intersection of science, astrology, intimacy, and mysticism. These systems and relationships offer her the possibility of greater understanding beyond the quotidian world. Creating a personal mythology and diaristic narrative through her medium, she references the observed natural world, as well as her imagined internal world. Collected seashells mutating to blooms, spilling sunlight imprinting upon the dreamer’s sleep, flower petals, fortune telling, and beauty rituals; this is just a small portion of what forms each artwork.
Rebecca graduated from The Pennsylvania State University after earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art with her concentration in Painting & Drawing. She currently works in her studio at The Art Guild located on Elderfields Preserve, a historic landmark and nature preserve, in Flower Hill, New York.

Kaleigh Quinnan
kaleighquinnan.com | @kaleighquinnan
Artist Statement:
[She Makes Drawings, Paintings, and Performance Pieces]
Her work looks to the details surrounding generic consumption, and how these details differ based on geographical context. Her work aims to understand the connection between a consumer-based society and the commodification of female bodies. Influenced by her time living in France, she investigates how the adornment of women’s bodies impacts their status and the way that they are consumed in the media, and how art is used to convey and often amplify that objectification.
[She exists, observes this, observes how other things exist, and makes art about it]
The combination of drawing, painting and performance mediums allows for the artist to exist as an actor in multiple contexts, creating parallels that allow for comparison of how her body exists in those relative spaces. Her work looks to the absurdity of contemporary life when creating surreal, and boldly colored flat figures with cartoon influences and outlines. This visual vocabulary accompanies stressed depictions of women in impossible positions. The irony is not lost; the artist is also a stressed woman in impossible positions.
Kaleigh Quinnan is an artist currently working in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She holds a B.F.A. in Drawing & Painting as well as a B.S. in French with a business concentration (2021). She currently works as a freelance art director.

Lotus
Artist Statement:
On our respective journeys, we happen upon people, places, and things that seem to have a certain inexplicable gravity to them. For a time, we may linger and marvel in the joys and sorrows that they stoke within us. They hold valuable lessons if we have the patience to see them through, but linger too long and we may feel we’ve strayed from our path. The Lotus Hotel is one such place to grow, take refuge, or get lost in ways that shift our perspective and bring us closer to ourselves. Immerse yourself and take only what you need, and remember, there’s always a vacancy.
